    At Martinez Junior High School we believe every student can learn. We promote and encourage students to succeed academically and socially in a safe, caring environment with the support of our community.

    All student over-the-counter and prescription medications must be accompanied by the appropriate medication forms. No medications will be accepted at your child's school without the proper documentation. New forms must be submitted each school year. All medications must be picked up by an authorized adult at the end of each school year. Medications not picked up will be disposed of. For student health forms click this link.

    Martinez Unified School District celebrates the home languages of each of our students. We recognize that families may need interpretation services in order to access services and communicate with school district personnel. We can provide interpretation services when needed.     • Kona Ice, the prize for selling 10 or more fundraiser items, will take place TODAY after school from 1:36-2:36 on Top Dog.  All students that have earned this reward will be given a bracelet today during 6th period.  (Leadership students will be handing these out).  Bracelet will be turned in upon receiving your Kona Ice.  Each recipient gets ONE Kona Ice with as many flavors as possible!  Questions? See Mrs. Sanchez.

    • TODAY Leadership will be hosting a horseshoe toss at both lunches.  Don't miss out! 

    • Did you wear PINK TODAY to support breast cancer awareness month?    

    • It's the 2nd week of Quarter 2 and a fresh start!  Now, you just have to maintain it. How do you maintain it?  Make sure you are all turning in your assignments on time, asking for help, and studying for quizzes and tests!  If you are getting behind or just want to stay on track, please come to ACADEMIC SUCCESS to work on homework and missing assignments!  Eat your lunch first and then get a pass from the noon duty supervisors to come to the computer lab (A114).  We have math tutors available, too!

    Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.

    • Attention all CJSF volunteers!  Remember to show up ON TIME and IN COSTUME for your shifts at John Muir Trunk-or-Treat on FRIDAY and the Morello Park Harvest Festival on SUNDAY.  I still have spots for John Muir Trunk-or-Treat that need to be filled.  Come to room D-204 to sign up ASAP!

    • Come buy your Fall grams for you and your friends.  They are 25 cents per gram and will be on sale during both lunches.   Get yours before we sell out. Grams will be delivered to homerooms on Halloween.

    • Please verify your address BEFORE enrolling your child.  Please use the School Finder link under Quick Links to confirm that your home address is within the Martinez Unified School District boundaries.  Some Martinez neighborhoods are within the Mt. Diablo Unified School District boundaries. 
    • For all new families enrolling a student(s) at Martinez Junior High School, please go to our Enrollment/Registration link on our home page under the Quick Links section to begin the online enrollment process.  All initial enrollments MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE prior to bringing in the required documents to our Registrar.

    Noon Duty: Supervising 500+ middle school students at lunch takes a lot of teamwork, but we could sure use some help. Our terrific and energetic team of supervisors are down a person right now. We need someone for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week, 9.5 months/year. Our lunches are from 11:19am-12:48pm each day; Wednesdays, lunches are from 10:49am-12:08pm. Salary: $11.60 – $14.85 per hour.
