    At Martinez Junior High School we believe every student can learn. We promote and encourage students to succeed academically and socially in a safe, caring environment with the support of our community.

    All student over-the-counter and prescription medications must be accompanied by the appropriate medication forms. No medications will be accepted at your child's school without the proper documentation. New forms must be submitted each school year. All medications must be picked up by an authorized adult at the end of each school year. Medications not picked up will be disposed of. For student health forms click this link.

    Martinez Unified School District celebrates the home languages of each of our students. We recognize that families may need interpretation services in order to access services and communicate with school district personnel. We can provide interpretation services when needed.     • Canned Food Drive update! The top three spots as of TUESDAY morning are…

      • Sprinkle donating just over 4 cans per student

      • Chapman is on the heels of Sprinkle with 3.8 cans per student

      • Nicolella finishing the top three with 2.5 cans per student brought in so far

      • Dellar and Brown are not far off from breaking into the top three  

      • New, empty bins have been delivered so let's fill them back up with boxed, canned and jarred goods.   Items will be accepted until December 18.  Will your class be one of the top three to get the Milk & Cookie party on DECEMBER 20th! 

    • Leadership is selling winter grams ALL WEEK for .25 cents each.  Stop by at lunch and buy some for you or your friends!

    • TODAY there is a Drama Club meeting from 1:45 to 3:45 in Room A101.

    • TODAY, during both lunches, have some fun and participate in the “Wiffle Ball Toss”.  Prizes will be given to winners!

    • The new and improved "Cookie Club 2" is having its first meeting after school on FRIDAY from 2:45-3:15  in Mrs. Pieper's room A202.  Sign ups are limited to the first 25 people.

    • GOT TALENT?  Audition for BULLPUPALOOZA, our MJHS talent and improv show.  Auditions will be THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, from 3 - 5 pm in the auditorium.  Performances will be at the end of January.  Flyers are available in the office.

    • 2nd quarter ends next FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20th but most teachers have already given you the last day they're going to accept assignments.  If they haven't given a date, please ask your teachers for it. Please make sure you have written down those dates in your planner and turn in the completed work by that date.  Please come to Academic Success to work on assignments and/or see your teachers after school for additional support.

    Come work with Ms. Patty on homework and missing assignments to help you stay on track!  Eat your lunch first and then get a pass from the noon duty supervisors to come to the computer lab (A114).

    • Please verify your address BEFORE enrolling your child.  Please use the School Finder link under Quick Links to confirm that your home address is within the Martinez Unified School District boundaries.  Some Martinez neighborhoods are within the Mt. Diablo Unified School District boundaries. 
    • For all new families enrolling a student(s) at Martinez Junior High School, please go to our Enrollment/Registration link on our home page under the Quick Links section to begin the online enrollment process.  All initial enrollments MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE prior to bringing in the required documents to our Registrar.

    Noon Duty: Supervising 500+ middle school students at lunch takes a lot of teamwork, but we could sure use some help. Our terrific and energetic team of supervisors are down a person right now. We need someone for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week, 9.5 months/year. Our lunches are from 11:19am-12:48pm each day; Wednesdays, lunches are from 10:49am-12:08pm. Salary: $11.60 – $14.85 per hour.
