BOY'S AND GIRL'S SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP11th Annual Bullpup Boy's Summer Basketball Camp: Mark Duarte, the Athletic Director and 8th grade basketball coach at Martinez Junior High, will be holding a basketball camp for boys again this year during the week of June 17th thru June 21st. It will be held in the junior high gym and multi-use room. Boys entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will go from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and boys entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade will follow from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $100.00. ANNOUNCEMENTSMEDICATIONS: If your child has any medications in the school office, please pick them up on the last day of school (June 7). MEDICATIONS NOT PICKED UP BY A PARENT OR AUTHORIZED ADULT WILL BE DISCARDED AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Parents must submit a new Authorization to Administer Medication form at the start of each school year. A COMPLETE AUTHORIZATION FORM MUST ACCOMPANY ALL MEDICATIONS THAT ARE TO BE ADMINISTERED DURING SCHOOL HOURS. The forms are available in the school office.

MINIMUM DAY ON MAY 24THThere will be a minimum day on Friday, May 24th, due to a Staff Development Day. Students will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m. Please make sure that your student is picked up by 12:15, as there will be no supervision after this time. Thank you! DC/NY Pre-Departure MeetingThere will be a pre-depature meeting for all parents and students going to Washington DC/New York this June. The meeting will be on May 30th, in the MJHS gym, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there! TEXT BOOK RETURNSHere is the schedule for textbook returns starting May 28th. Students will return their textbooks during their History classes on the following dates: 8th grade - Tuesday, May 28th; 7th grade - Wednesday, May 29th; and 6th grade - Thursday, May 30th. Failure to return textbooks or library books will result in a "hold" being placed on your student's yearbook. Please make sure books are returned on time. |
