    At Martinez Junior High School we believe every student can learn. We promote and encourage students to succeed academically and socially in a safe, caring environment with the support of our community.

    All student over-the-counter and prescription medications must be accompanied by the appropriate medication forms. No medications will be accepted at your child's school without the proper documentation. New forms must be submitted each school year. All medications must be picked up by an authorized adult at the end of each school year. Medications not picked up will be disposed of. For student health forms click this link.

    Martinez Unified School District celebrates the home languages of each of our students. We recognize that families may need interpretation services in order to access services and communicate with school district personnel. We can provide interpretation services when needed.     All CJSF members who signed up to volunteer at the Morello Park Harvest Festival please remember to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift and wear a "non-scary" costume appropriate for elementary aged children.  Have a great time!

    The first quarter ELAC meeting is today at 8:30 am in A-114 (MJHS Computer Lounge).

    Sign ups for 8th grade lunchtime indoor soccer tournament will be held today.  In order to sign up, you need a team name and six team members.  Any questions see Mr. Duarte or Mr. Bilanow.

    6th and 7th grade girls basketball tryouts start next week on Monday, October 22.  Please make sure you have your signed permission slip. You will not be allowed to tryout without one. 7th grade will be held 3:00-4:30, 6th grade will be held 4:30 - 6:00.

    Did you do something exciting over the summer?!   Did you take ANY pictures of yourself, friends, or family members on the first day of school?   Would you want it featured in this year's yearbook?  If so, please fill out the google form sent to you today and/or email:  OR

    Are you ready for BOO FEST!  Boo Fest will be held today from 3:00 to 4:30 in the quad.  Tickets purchased on Friday are $5.00 for all students.   You must have a signed permission slip and ID card to purchase a ticket.  Pick up a permission slip in the main office.

    Noon Duty: Supervising 500+ middle school students at lunch takes a lot of teamwork, but we could sure use some help. Our terrific and energetic team of supervisors are down a person right now. We need someone for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week, 9.5 months/year. Our lunches are from 11:19am-12:48pm each day; Wednesdays, lunches are from 10:49am-12:08pm. Salary: $11.60 – $14.85 per hour.
