    At Martinez Junior High School we believe every student can learn. We promote and encourage students to succeed academically and socially in a safe, caring environment with the support of our community.

    All student over-the-counter and prescription medications must be accompanied by the appropriate medication forms. No medications will be accepted at your child's school without the proper documentation. New forms must be submitted each school year. All medications must be picked up by an authorized adult at the end of each school year. Medications not picked up will be disposed of. For student health forms click this link.

    Martinez Unified School District celebrates the home languages of each of our students. We recognize that families may need interpretation services in order to access services and communicate with school district personnel. We can provide interpretation services when needed. Please call Monifa Morgan (925-335-5966) should you require interpretation
    services.

    • SAVE Club!  Please come to an activity after school today in Mrs. Hansen's room, D-103.  We will start at 2:40 and finish at 3:15.  See you then!

    • Attention all 8th & 7th Grade CJSF members:  There will be a mandatory CJSF meeting after school today in room D-204.  We will be discussing our field trip dates and our next community service opportunity.  All members must complete at least one community service activity in order to attend the field trip.

    • A new magic club called "Project Spade" will be starting in Room C-103 on Friday!  Come join us from 2:45-3:15 to learn new magic tricks and show others some of the tricks you know.  See Mrs. Francis or Cole Edwards with any questions.

    • Friday Math School will be held in room A-202 (Pieper) and D-206 (Zahner) on Friday from 2:45-4:15.  You must report no later than 2:50 to the classroom.  Come by and get some extra support and complete missing assignments.  

    • Don’t forget Coding Club meets on Mondays in D-205 at 2:45!

    • The next Cookie Club meeting is happening Tuesday, March 26, from 2:45-3:45!  Whether or not you came to our first meeting, you are welcome to attend.  Just come sign up before or after school in Room C-103. The first 25 people to sign up will be able to come.

    • Attention all boys basketball team members.  Awards night will be held on Wednesday, March 27 in the gym at 7:00.  Please bring your uniforms to turn in.  Any questions, please see Mr. Duarte.

    • “Academic Success” is Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the computer lab.  Please eat your lunch first and then go see Ms. Patty in A-114.

    HELP WANTED

    Noon Duty: Supervising 500+ middle school students at lunch takes a lot of teamwork, but we could sure use some help. Our terrific and energetic team of supervisors are down a person right now. We need someone for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week, 9.5 months/year. Our lunches are from 11:19am-12:48pm each day; Wednesdays, lunches are from 10:49am-12:08pm. Salary: $11.60 – $14.85 per hour.
